Lincoln Center, Juilliard School of Music

The Juilliard School of Music has undergone massive renovations as the whole Lincoln Center for the Preforming Arts required more space and connectivity to public spaces.(Lotus
International, 2011, p. 9).
The new structure looked very different and encompassed many new ideals, such as day lighting into the space and allowing the lobby/cafe connect with the street view whereas the original structure had the lobby below grade.(Stephens, 2009, page 64)
This project, though not a museum, does offer some ideas of how to approach the WAG for renovations. The concept of a cantilever to add more space to the building without building up or increasing the footprint of the building is something that can possible be considered.
